Kalami information

Kalami used to be a small fishing village by the beach. Now it is a top destination in Corfu because it is an idyllic location offering great pebbly beach with crystal clear turquoise waters and tranquil environment with lush green olive groves and cypress hills. The sea is not deep at all and it’s ideal for families with children. In fact it was awarder the Blue Flag.

Kalami village was the place that Lawrence Durrell, the famous British author, lived for many years and got his inspiration from. His house is one of the local attractions.

In the area can be found also a few tavernas offering fresh fish and local cuisine. There are a few bars also where you can enjoy a drink by watching the sea below.

Minimarkets and small shops for the necessities can be found within 1,5 km (less than a mile) radius.

For greater variety of bars and cafes, banks and post office, one can visit Kassiopi village approximately 8 kms (5,5 miles) away.
